I was enjoying a look at the fabulous bikes in the Mercian blog and on the gallery and decided to send in a pic of my own Vincitore 853 for inclusion.
Its in pearl white with half chrome forks and has been kitted out with new Campagnolo Athena as well as vintage NOS Record and Brooks saddle and tape, for a bike with a modern performance but an old school aesthetic. It's a joy to ride.
I'm a Derby lad but these days live in Melbourne, Australia which has a very strong cycling culture. I'm proud to display my heritage via my Mercian, and it gets one hell of a lot of attention.
For those that are interested in such things here are the components:
Groupset - Campagnolo Athena 11 speed
Handlebars - Nitto Noodle
Seatpost, Headset, Pedals - Campagnolo Record 1988 NOS
Hubs - Campagnolo Record 1997 NOS (32 hole)
Wheel Rims - Mavic Open Pro
Tyres - Continental Grand Prix Classic
