Its time to stock take here at the shop and workshop (it,s not a nice job but someone has to do it) . Anyway while I was in the garage I came across one of the old advert sign. It,s been hand painted of course and may just have been done by one of the workers . I think it would have dated back to the early 1950s. It,s quite a good find and soon will be hanging up in the main office.

What a fantastic find. I love these old hand painted signs, and this one is a real treasure. I took lessons with a sign writer once, you could tell his work(which was all over Lancaster) because he only used a handful of colours and only knew a couple of lettering styles. they were magnificent signs and no-one does them like this anymore. Keep hold of this, it's lovely.
